BB, CC AND NOW DD CREAMS!

IF YOU LIKE A ‘DOES-IT-ALL-IN-ONE’ CREAM – READ ON…..

BB creams – Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm – first came to UK prominence in 2011, followed by the CC creams in 2012 – Complexion Correct or Colour and Care and now we have the DD Cream!

You may have wondered what the difference is – so here is some more information:-

NEW-Age-Defense-BB-Cream-SPF-30

BB cream was invented in Germany in the 1950’s, originally for blemishes but then evolved into a foundation, sun protection, blemish treatment, anti-ageing cream i.e. an all-in-one cream, particularly popular in Asia. The CC creams on the other hand were created in Korea and are currently just as popular in Asia. According to certain reports CC creams contain more anti-aging properties than the BB. Also, the increased benefits of CC cream are said to be that it repairs the look of your skin tone, has a higher SPF rating, goes on smooth and lighter than BB cream, and repairs damage to weathered skin.

CC

Chanel currently has one of the best CC creams on the market in Asia. It uses “deep sea extracts” to offer a deeper moisturizing than their other products. In addition the CC acts as a primer and brightener, so a real multi-functional face product.

DD Cream

Now we have DD creams – Daily Defense – launching in the UK. Unlike its predecessors which are mainly for the face, DD creams are for tougher areas of the skin such as the feet and body, so fantastic for moisturising heels, knees and elbows. DD cream usually contains soothing ingredients aloes and vitamins and is promising to soften tough dry skin, moisturise and reduce the appearance of stretch marks and more. It is also being promoted for use on cracked heels, dry hands, knees and elbows or any scars and stretch marks from childbirth.

Can’t wait to try one!

WHEN WILL THERE BE ZZ CREAM – IN ANOTHER 23 YEARS I GUESS!!

thank you for the post, given me an idea of what to look for, but I have a question. What would you say is the best budget buy cc cream? Am a million miles away from being able to afford Chanel but I really want good covering cream for a paler skin, just don’t know where to look for an inexpensive one!

    • Hello Sarah, I haven’t used or tried ALL budget BB’s but from what I know and have researched the top ones are Boots No 7 (UK) or Garnier (comes in 3 shades)! Hope that helps xx

    • Hello Sarah, I haven’t tried ALl BB Creams, however from what I know and the research I have carried out, it seems the best budget BB’s are Boots No 7 (UK) and Garnier. Both are reasonably priced. Thanks 🙂
