I discovered this product on a recent visit to St Bride’s Spa in Saundersfoot (see previous blog). I loved the fact that this serum was organic, only oil based products can say they are truly organic, so I was confident this was. Not that I only use organic products, I just prefer that natural oil based products are as pure and natural as they can be.
It is a beautifully light oil, which I would use as a night time treat. It made my skin feel soft and nourished. Best results are when applied to warm skin for maximum absorption.
Described as an organic face serum which is an intense blend of organic oils, designed to give the skin a boost to its natural defences. These oils are naturally packed with powerful antioxidants, offering nourishment to improve radiance and bring life to dull skin. It can be used on its own or in conjunction with our moisturiser for the most troublesome skin.
I loved the very light texture, the smell was beautiful, not ‘earthy’ like some organic products, but what I loved in addition to this was the name – My Little Hero – so cute. A little goes a long way so at £51 for 30ml size I would say this was a good buy.
The story behind the product is interesting too – VOYA is a family–owned, Irish business, proud to have produced the world’s first range of certified organic seaweed based products. Seaweed is a very nutritious to use as part of a diet or topically, in this case, as a key ingredient in skincare (see previous blog on Benefits of Seaweed).
All of the brand’s products are made without mineral oils, genetically modified ingredients, or synthetic colours, fragrances and preservatives; and are suitable for sensitive skins. VOYA is opposed to the practice of animal testing in cosmetics research.
This is certainly going to be My Little Hero and can’t wait to try out other products?
