Exfoliation, at least once a week is as important as cleanse, tone and moisturise and should be part of your regular regime.


Why you should exfoliate!

Whilst twice daily cleansing is beneficial, either using a cleansing milk, foam or balm, exfoliating twice a week will give a deeper cleanse and uncover the glow beneath.

Dead skin cells can build up, as the skin renews itself every 28 days when we are younger, however this can increase to 55 days when we are over 50. Regular exfoliation, helps speed up the process so the new plumper cells are revealed, making skin look more youthful and it allows absorption of serums and moisturisers more easily.

Exfoliation can help keep pores from becoming blocked and leave skin with a refreshed and clean feeling. Clogged pores can result in blackheads and breakouts. Furthermore, when pores are clogged, they appear larger. So, if you’re worried about the size of your pores, although you can’t reduce their actual size, you can help diminish their appearance by keeping them super clean and clear.

Remember to exfoliate the body, as well as the face. Pay particular attention to knees, heels, elbows and the back of the upper arms!

If you don’t exfoliate already then start with something gentle and reveal your new skin. You will glow!
